Managing Stress
Do you feel stressed? These days all of us have been entangled in stress due to enormous reasons. However, not all kinds of stress are bad. A certain amount of stress improves your performance which is called eustress. But this happens only till a limit. After that, it begins to negatively affect our physical health, performance, mental well-being, and quality of life.
Some of the causes include financial issues, conflicts in relationships, physical activities, work pressure, or social pressure. There are multiple other causes and different minor hassles of the day.
With multiple causes there are numerous techniques and ways to deal with and manage it:
- Breathing: When you are under stress your breath changes. So calming your breath with deep breathing practices. It will also help you bring in the present moment that increases your attention.
- Physical activity: exercise, yoga, or any other kind of physical activity allows you to release the extra energy built up that has happened due to stress. An add-on would be doing any physical activity in nature, like walking.
- Take help: if stress is increasing and hindering your daily tasks then you should seek some help from professionals like a coach who can help you healthily cope with stress.
Stress can be caused due to several reasons, however, that does not mean that it cannot be coped with healthily. It takes time and effort but distress can be managed and eu-stress can happen that promotes your performance.
